Bordered by the Bow River to the south, 28 St to the west, 18 St to the east and the neighbourhoods of St. Andrews Heights, Briar Hill, and Hounsfield Heights to the north. Annexed to the city in 1907, streetcar service was established in 1913. While some development occurred in the 1910s to the 1930s, the community really blossomed in 1945 when it became home to several Victory Homes for returning soldiers. In the 1960s, a bridge across the Bow River was built and the community was then split by what is now Crowchild Trail.
